Meet the Artist...

Born in 1988, Elizabeth Zahra is a self-taught abstract artist from the island of Malta, where the Mediterranean’s light, landscapes, and layered cultures deeply shape her vision. With a natural affinity for the outdoors and a restless curiosity for travel and exploration, she finds inspiration in the shifting rhythms of nature, the meeting of traditions, and the textures of lived experience.

Elizabeth’s paintings are driven by an instinctive fascination with colour, juxtaposition and depth. Her work often unfolds as a dialogue between harmony and contrast - vibrant hues, layered textures and multidimensional spaces that invite the viewer into an immersive encounter.

Her artistic journey has recently reached new milestones:

• Breakthrough – A Journey of Self-Discovery, solo exhibition at Alpha Gallery, Hamrun, Malta (May 2024)

• Power Within, solo exhibition, Fortress Interpretation Centre, Valletta, Malta (October 2024)

• Rakkonti, a live art and music collaboration with a local session musician, St. Aloysius College, Birkirkara, Malta (December 2024)

• Layers of Perception, solo exhibition at Ganado Advocates, Valletta, Malta (January – March 2025)
